Strategic Innovations recently conducted a seminar on Business Basics as part of the Alamance Partnership for Children, Inc. s Day of Training for child care providers, directors, and teachers. The seminar focused on teaching those individuals who are operating child care facilities - either centers or in-home - some financial management basics. Topics included basic financial terminology, issues for start-up, an overview of how to read and understand financial statements, and how to analyze the information in financial statements. The seminar counted toward the continuing professional education requirements of child care providers.
